Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our, lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5

If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10 9,10 NIV

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels, nor demons, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all - how will he not also , along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:31,32 NIV

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. Acts 17:24,25

Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Acts 17:1

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13

Francis Chan - Is God Hearing Your Prayers?

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John15:16

Read a Post on Facebook today, "Everyone dies but not Everyone lives." Let's see what the word of God says!

"Everyone dies but not Everyone lives." Genesis 5:21-24 21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. 22 And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether Enoch lived 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. NIV Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. NIV * Notes from Jim, Enoch walked with God 300 years,it says that "Enoch pleased God. It also says that Enoch did not experience death because God took him. Possibly one of the very first examples of a rapture!

John 15:12-14 NIV

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish , and it will be given to you. This is to my Father' glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. John 15:12-14 NIV

John 14:21

Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him. John 14:21

John 14:27 NIV

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 NIV

The Nik Wallenda Grand Canyon High Wire Walk and The dominion God has given man

Not just another Nik Wallenda post, Psalm 8:1, 8:9 The dominion God has given man. Sunday evening if you happened to be one of the nearly 13 million people tuned into the Discovery Channel for Nik Wallenda's record breaking high wire walk you were witness to a testimony in faith as Nik walked Thanking and Praising Jesus. Nik also called on Jesus to calm him down and to calm the winds down as a Christian it was really something to watch, knowing that there was nearly 13 million viewers seeing and hearing the same thing you know that for many of those viewers it was the 1st time they have seen this type of open faith relationship with Jesus publicly. This morning as I prayed about it afterwords I opened my bible to Psalms as I always do and read Chapter 8 which starts and ends like this: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. The title for this chapter is, The dominion God has given man. What we witnessed last night was God's Majesty in one of the most Majestic settings on earth with one of his own children Thanking Him and Praising Him for the Opportunity and yes the safety to Glorify Him and have dominion over the Grand Canyon for his Kingdom! The views of Nik on the wire with the backdrop of the canyon made him look like just a spec and thats really what we are but God uses us if we are obedient to Glorify His Name in front of Millions! Thank You Jesus and Congratulations Nik on your Successful Walk! ***You May be the First and Only Jesus Someone Ever May See!
